Over 160 000 people voted for the winners in the Third Balkan Music Awards
Over 160 thousand fans of the Balkan stars voted from all around the world for their favourite artists and chose this year’s winners in the most prestigious awards in South-Eastern Europe – The Balkan Music Awards.
There were 16 categories and in each one of them there were 5 of the biggest names of the contemporarily Balkan music, previously selected by the Balkan Music Academy. The voting of the fans was online on the internet site of the Awards: http://www.balkanmusicawards.com and its mobile version. Balkanika Music Television also announced a special Award for: „Best world breakthrough of a Balkan artist for 2011”, won by the Romanian star Alexandra Stan.

„Best Song in the Balkans from Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2011” – „UNDO” - DINO MERLIN
„Best Song in the Balkans from Republic of Bulgaria for 2011” - „NA TI MI GOVORI” -ALISIA
„Best Song in the Balkans from Republic of Greece for 2011” – „EROTEFTIKA” - ELLI KOKKINOU
„Best Song in the Balkans from Republic of FYR of Macedonia for 2011” – „NE SE VRAKAS” KAROLINA GOCHEVA FEAT V.STEFANOVSKI

The Greek star Elli Kokkinou, who last night had her first concert in Bulgaria, made an unique show in the crowded club Night Flight. The singer was in Bulgaria thanks to the cooperation of her label Spicy with the Bulgarian music company Diapason Records – official representatives of the Greek label.
The beautiful artist presented a special program and was accompanied by maestro Leonidas Tsitsos. The attractive divapresented hits like “Erota Mou”, “Den Ginete”, “Masai”, “Kosmotheoria”, “Lipamai Eilikrina” and promoted some of the songs from her new album “Ta Genethlia Mou”.
The talented singer is also nominated in two categories of the Balkan Music Awards 2012.

Balkan Music Awards 2012 will be held for the third consecutive year in Sofia, and the date is June 16th . In the "Arena Armeec" hall the fans will have the opportunity to see the biggest stars on the Balkans. The voting for this year's awards begins today. The vote is entirely held by the audience, and everyone can give their vote online on the site of the event www.balkanmusicawards.com. The site also has a mobile version so people can vote from their phones too. Voting will continue until 23:59 pm on April 8th!
There are 16 categories in which fans can choose their favorite song, performer, group and video from the Balkans. The final nominations were chosen after selection of the members of the Balkan Music Academy, which was established in 2009 and brings together artists, producers and journalists from all Balkan countries. The winners in the category Best song from every country will be performing during the official ceremony of the Balkan Music Awards 2012.
