Voting for this year’s edition of the Balkan Music Awards 2011 starts today. The voting is done entirely by the viewers and everyone can cast their vote online at the event website – www.balkanmusicawards.com. Voting will continue until April 8th.
There are 16 categories in which the audience can pick their favorite artist. A new one is introduced this year – the “Balkan Project” award, which will be awarded to the most successful collaboration between artists from different Balkan countries. The selection of the final contenders is made by the members of the Balkan Music Academy, created in 2009 and consisting of songwriters, producers and journalists from all participating countries.
The winners in the category of best song from each country will perform their hit during the official award ceremony of the Balkan Music Awards 2011.
BALKAN MUSIC AWARDS 2011! THE BIGGEST MUSIC EVENT IS YET TO COME
On 16 May the First Balkan Music Awards gathered fans from all Balkan countries with the help of good music. The glamorous show took place in Sofia, before the eyes of more than 30 000 people, who came to "Prince Alexander 1" (former "Batenberg") Square. The show was also broadcasted live by major TV and radio channels in most of the Balkan countries, allowing it to reach millions of people.
